The Streak has Guelph connection (Greg Layson - Guelph Mercury)

Wayne Thomas has a comprehensive preview of this weekend's Canada West action on Dinoshoopsnews.ca.  Wayne also discusses Calgary's injury woes in a recent post.

Finally, get-well-soon wishes go out to Guelph Gryphons Head Coach Chris O'Rourke who tore his achilles tendon while playing in a men's league basketball game earlier this week.  The injury is ironic given all setbacks Guelph has had all season long; earlier this week it was revealed that star 6'2" Dan McCarthy, who was just named MVP of Classique des Citadins Holiday tournament at UQAM, is likely to miss the next 2 weeks after he injured his elbow.
