Dalhousie 71, Acadia 59

Advancing to the championship of their own tournament for the second consecutive season, the Tigers got a perfect 6 for 6 performance in the first half from 6'9" Joe Schow to grab a double digit lead and then got 19 second-half points from 6'1" fifth-year guard Simon Farine to defeat the Axemen.  6'2" Anthony Sears did his best to keep Acadia close, scoring 16 of his team-high 26 points in the second half when he went 7 for 9 from the floor.

Both teams combined to shoot only 36% including a combined 6 for 43 from downtown.  Farine was an efficient 12 for 20 from the field for the game and controlled things, especially in the second half when Schow (17 points, 15 in the first half) cooled off.  6'8" Owen Klassen battled foul trouble and played only 26 minutes, scoring 6 points on 2-8 shooting.

looking at that LU boxscore; you aren't going to win many games giving up 22 offensive boards when that team is also shooting 50% from the floor...1-11 from 3 point land in the 2nd half doesn't help either.

There are a lot of holes in LU's lineup.
Apart from the Pasquales and a couple of others, this team is thin talent wise.
Let's face it, LU hasn't been a factor nationally since Peter Campbell was coaching them.
It is a telling statement on the current state of the OUA East that they are in third place.
