#1 Carleton (8-0 overall, 2-0 in OUA, #1 last week) (this past weekend: won at McMaster and at Lakehead) The Ravens played without starting center 6'7" Kevin McCleery but still were able to clear the bench in both games against OUA West competition. Carleton has their OUA regular season home opener this Friday night against Waterloo and then faces Laurier on Saturday at the Raven's Nest.
#2 Windsor (6-1 overall, 2-0 in OUA, #2 last week) (this past week: defeated Laurentian and York at home) The Lancers had a pair resounding wins at home against Laurentian and York to open their OUA regular season. Windsor's depth offensively and air tight "d" turned both games into early laughers. A firmer test awaits this weekend as the Queen's Golden Gaels visit the St. Denis Center this coming weekend.
#3 Concordia (4-1 overall, 0-0 in QSSF, #3 last week) (this past week: 0-2 against NCAA Division 1 with losses at Rhode Island and at Maryland). Concordia begins their defense of the QSSF championship this coming Friday night, November 16th against the undefeated Bishop's Gaiters in Lennoxville. However, both Buckley brothers, 6'1" Damian and 6'3" Dwayne suffered knee injuries during their recent tour and their status for their Q opener is uncertain.
#4 UBC (6-1 overall, 5-1 Canada West, #6 last week) (this past weekend: swept University College of Fraser Valley Cascades at home) The T-Birds came back from a late deficit to gut out a win on Friday and then romped to a relatively-easy victory on Saturday to sweep the improving Cascades. UBC travels to the province of Manitoba next weekend to face the Winnipeg Wesmen (2-2) on Friday and the Manitoba Bisons (0-4) on Saturday.
#5 St. Mary's (10-2 overall, 1-0 in AUS, #7 last week) (this past week: won at Acadia by 10 on Wednesday) 6'2" Mark McLaughlin had a career-high as the Huskies won in Wolfville, their second consecutive victory over Top 10 team Axemen after a season-opening loss to Acadia on a neutral floor in Moncton. St. Mary's has a pair of two point games at Cape Breton this Friday night and Saturday afternoon.
#6 Brandon (8-2 overall, 4-0 Canada West, #9 last week) (this past weekend: defeated Manitoba twice at home) The Cats dominated the Bisons at home in both games (although Saturday's game was sluggish at the start) and reaffirmed their place solidly atop the Great Plains conference (tied with Regina). A pair of tough road games at Saskatchewan and at #8 Alberta loom next weekend.
#7 Acadia (6-2 overall, 1-1 in AUS, #4 last week) (this past weekend: lost at home to St.Mary's by 10 and won by 8 at Dal) Playing without 6'1" Paolo Santana, out with an ankle injury, the Axemen lost their AUS opener at home to SMU but then rebounded to dominate inside against Dal behind 6'5" Leonil Saintil's 26 point, 19 rebound effort. Acadia hosts UNB twice next weekend.
#8 Alberta (8-2 overall, 3-1 Canada West, #5 last week) (This past week: Split a pair of games at home against division rival Saskatchewan) The loss of steady point guard C.G. Morrison to a foot injury forced 6'2" Alex Steele to take over more primary ball handling responsibilities and, although Steele had 30 on Friday night in the Bears win, he turned the ball over 18 times on the weekend and the Bears generally struggled to score on Saturday night. Alberta hosts a pair of undefeated Great Plains division teams next weekend in Edmonton as Regina (4-0) visits Friday while #6 Brandon (4-0) visits Saturday.
#9 Toronto (9-2 overall, 2-0 in OUA, #10 last week) (This past weekend: Varsity defeated Waterloo and Laurier, both by double digits, at home) The Blues continue to get fine play from all main rotation players and are finding contributions from freshmen as well. Toronto did not skip a beat on Friday night against Waterloo when 6'2" Rob Paris had an off night and then Paris again led the way on Saturday. Toronto hits the road next weekend to face McMaster and Lakehead.
#10 Guelph (8-2 overall, 2-0 in OUA, Not Ranked last week) (this past weekend: won at RMC and won at then-#8 Queen's) Since starting the season losing their first two games, the Gryphons have ripped off seven consecutive wins including a tough five point win at Queen's on Saturday night as 6'3" Nick Pankerichan continues to lead this group. The Gryphs defend, rebound, have a nice array of offensive threats and have finally made their way into a well-deserved Top 10 spot this week.
Also Considered:
Queen's (6-2, 1-1 in OUA, #8 last week)

Guelph went 6-2 in the pre-season and won their next two regular season games. They are 8-2 overall, no?
Mark, have you heard the reason why
Kevin McCleery didn't play for the Ravens this past weekend?
Not sure why McCleery didn't play;
Thanks for the note on Guelph; I've made the correction.
