Surmacz signs professional contract in Poland

Great news that a fellow Pole who had such an outstanding career at Windsor is able to continue to play in his family's home country. Now all we need is for Pawel Herra at McGill to do the same and we'll all be happy. Na Zdrowie Gregorz !!

"6’7” Polish/Canadian Greg Surmacz has signed with AZS Zagaz Koszalin in the Polish PLK League. He was born in Poland but has played high school and college basketball in Canada. He was named OUA Player of the Year for the second time in a row with the University of Windsor. Named First Team All-Canadian for the 2009-10 season where he averaged 19.7 ppg and 7.6 rpg. He took part in the World University Games at Belgrade Serbia in 2009."
