Cool Ottawa-based Blog, Evan Constantine Article, Smart Videos

Thanks to fellow Nation's Capital-based blogger, Neate Sager, who publishes a very comprehensive, multi-sport blog that covers a wide variety of professional and amateur disciplines, putting the local rags to shame (at least the rural edition I get every morning). The Memorial Seahawks are off to a 3-3 start (4-8 overall) in the AUS Baldwin Division and one of the key reasons for their early success is fifth-year shooting guard Evan Constantine, averaging 12.8 points per game with a season-high 26 in a win against St. Mary's. In what has been a very low-keyed marketing effort in Canada, a pair of instructional videos featuring Carleton Head Coach Dave Smart have hit the market as of late summer. Unfortunately, my name was mysterious omitted from the "Smart Two Pack" complementary handout list and as such I have not seen the videos but plan to get them and treat them like Carleton game tape. I suspect there will be some mention of the ball screen game and also instructions on how to shoot the ball properly. Now if only he'd share how he gets slow, weak 6'0" guys to rebound on every possession, the entire bag of tricks will be out. I'm told these videos are well worth the investment.
