Ottawa leads St. John's 38-36 at halftime

The Gee-Gees have used the 3 ball to stay in the game, finishing the first half on a 9-2 including a buzzer beating three by 6'4" Josh Gibson-Bascombe. Ottawa got a strong performance by 6'0" Max Clarkson, a forgotten recruit from last year's class who has returned ready to push for minutes. Clarkson knocked down back-to-back 3's midway through the first half as St. John's appears to be having some difficulty with Ottawa's hand-off game. Ottawa Coach Dave DeAveiro also got strong first-half performances from 6'5" Warren Ward and 6'2" Ryan Malcolm-Campbell.
