As speculated here and in other media outlets yesterday, Calgary basketball Dinos recruit Henry Bekkering was chosen in yesterday's CFL Draft of Canadian eligible players in the 5th round (35th overall) by the Calgary Stampeders. Speculation is that the Stamps originally hoped to bring in Bekkering as an undrafted free agent but ended up using a pick on the 6'8" athlete to ensure they got him.
